Loving Every Other Update of It

I spent some time this past week exploring possibilities for the distribution of Loving Every Other Minute of It. There are some good choice out there. All reasonable mp3 routes seem to pass through CDBaby, which handled Songs from Memory without a hitch. I’ve got a good CD manufacturing option too.

Vinyl gets more expensive, and it seems to require a higher number of units than I’d choose to buy. Still, I’m holding out hope to have the album available for you in all of your favorite media. It’s too early — and entirely inappropriate — to talk about financing right now, but know that I’m working through the various possibilities and will touch base with you when something makes sense.

More importantly, Bret Hartley was kind enough during his completely upside-down schedule to pass along to me the first mixes of Loving Every Other Minute of It.

What can I tell you about this listening experience? I’ll say this much: The album sounds like it’s playing a game only it knows the rules to. I don’t know where it’s coming from, or how it got there, or what kind of transport it took to get back, but it sounds like it had a good time. It’s like when your friend goes to Bali for a month. He comes back tan, wearing this necklace made of some stone you can’t name, and speaking some pretty language you didn’t know existed, and all you can think is, “That’s it. I’m going next year.”

Next year arrives November 7th. Bring your bathing suit.
